Ticket Barter - Marketplace & Exchange Platform built with Python, Django, Bootstrap 5

The Problem

Ticket Barter required a high-trust, fraud-resistant escrow system capable of handling concurrent ticket swaps during high-traffic concert announcements. Existing platforms suffered from scam complaints and lacked real-time concurrency controls.

The Solution

I architected a Django backend utilizing PostgreSQL row-level locks to handle concurrent transactions without race conditions. To build trust, I implemented a custom user trust-score algorithm based on historical swap data and integrated a strict identity verification pipeline. I chose Bootstrap 5 over a heavy JS framework to prioritize initial load speed and rapid development.

The Outcome & Metrics

The platform launched with 3,500+ active ticket listings. The custom trust algorithm reduced dispute rates by 68%. Average page load maintained at 2.1s under peak loads with PostgreSQL query optimization.

📊 3,500+ active listings, 98% uptime, 2.1s average page load.
