The Problem
The handicraft business needed an online store to reach international buyers for their handmade products. Challenges included managing product variations for unique artisan items, supporting multiple currencies, and providing reliable international shipping estimates.
The Solution
Created a WooCommerce store with custom product templates for artisan items, integrated multi-currency support via Currency Switcher plugin, set up WPML for multi-language support, implemented PayPal and international payment gateways, and configured tiered international shipping rates.
The Outcome & Metrics
Store launched with 500+ handcrafted products, serving customers across 25+ countries. Multi-currency support increased international orders by 120%. Average order value from international customers was 3x higher than domestic.
