The Problem
Karvaan Tours needed sub-2-second LCP on mobile in Japan-tour search traffic from the US to compete with larger aggregators. Their previous site suffered from slow mobile load speeds (LCP at 4.2s) and lacked proper structured data.
The Solution
I rebuilt the entire image delivery pipeline through Cloudinary using WebP/AVIF formats to drastically cut payload size. Instead of a standard SPA, I used Next.js SSR to ensure immediate crawlability. I also rewrote their JSON-LD schema (TourOperator, TravelAction, FAQPage) to explicitly target Google AI Overviews and rich snippets.
The Outcome & Metrics
Organic impressions grew 140% in 12 weeks, verified in Search Console. Core Web Vitals passed Google benchmarks with LCP dropping to 1.6s, driving a 2.2x increase in online tour bookings.
